Accessibility Statement

The Blog Story is designed to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all public reading pages and the core authoring interface.

What we do

• Semantic landmarks and heading structure on every page.
• A “skip to content” link and visible keyboard focus styles throughout.
• Text alternatives for images; authors are required to add alt text before publishing.
• AA colour-contrast ratios in every theme we offer, including the dark (Midnight) theme.
• Full keyboard operability — menus, dialogs, the editor, and forms can be used without a mouse.
• Content honours your system “reduce motion” preference, and the interface is available in multiple languages, including right-to-left scripts.

Known limitations

• Some embedded third-party content (e.g. video players) is outside our control and may not fully conform.
• Complex data visualisations in the analytics dashboards are being reviewed for non-visual equivalents.

Conformance & review

This statement reflects our self-assessment and a manual audit (keyboard, screen-reader, and automated checks). We re-audit after MVP launch and before major interface changes. Last reviewed: July 2026.
